Incoming 7th Graders

Welcome 6th grade families!

On Friday, June 9th, we will be releasing the updated Summer Reading List. For those of you new to this process, all 7th graders will be expected to read a minimum of three books this summer. The first book will be a "project book." Choosing from a list created to address the reading interests/levels of all students, every 7th grader will read a book, and create a small project to present to his/her advisory. There are numerous project options, from writing an essay to more creative, hands-on projects. The second book must be chosen from a list on science topics. Again, the books on this list have been selected to address the reading levels of all of our students. Finally, the 7th grade will all be reading the same book that will help us have productive discussions, as a school, about bullying and how we treat each other. All of the lists, projects, and information will be posted on our website and emailed home in early June.
