Kindergarten Registration

The Marblehead Public Schools (MPS) encourages parents/guardians of all children who will be five years of age prior to September 1st to register for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. All documents and proof of address are required, even if other siblings are registered in the district. MPS requires up-to-date documentation for each student's file.

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open on February 23, 2026.

MPS offers half-day and full-day options for our Kindergarten program. 

There is a fee for Full Day Kindergarten, and the tuition rate is listed below. Tuition is invoiced monthly through our electronic payment system, MySchoolBucks.

2026 – 2027 School-Year Approved Rates:

Kindergarten Half-Day Program: Free of Charge
Kindergarten Full-Day Program: $4,120

Income Eligibility Application for Reduced Full-Day Kindergarten Tuition

Financial Need-Based tuition reduction is available for the Kindergarten extended day program to those who qualify. More information about the tuition reduction application can be obtained from the Business Office and will be shared in mid-August, along with information regarding our electronic billing system. 

There is not a financial need-based tuition reduction available for students in the preschool program.  Tuition will be reduced based on the student’s IEP and its recommended services, as applicable.
