Subject: Supporting Our Community Following the Loss of an 8th Grade Student

We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our 8th grade students,who was a valued member of our school community. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, all who are grieving this loss, and all those in our community who are impacted by this tragedy.

We recognize that this news is difficult, and each member of our community may process it in different ways. 

We encourage parents and guardians to talk with their children about this loss. Grief counselors are available at Veterans Middle School and Marblehead High School on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please reach out to your school principal or counselor if additional support is needed. 

As we begin the school year, we will continue to support one another with compassion and care. Our strength as a community comes from how we stand together during challenging times, and we are committed to ensuring that no student or family feels alone in their grief.

Please keep the student and her family in your thoughts during this very difficult time.
